SCROLL DOWN

say what you need to say

conversations about life

welcome!

I’m glad you found me—navigating this thing called life is so much easier when you’re in good company

If you ARE hoping to find answers

so am I

Who AM I?

Who AM I?

I am the woman at the supermarket who stands on the lowest shelf in order to (precariously) grab for the last box of oats.

I am the woman who waves you into traffic, and sometimes, the jerk who cuts you off.

I like to wear hats because they shield me from (warranted) judgement about my (insufficient) hair care routine.

I like animals, books, mountain air, beaches, and people who stop to consider who they are, what they’re doing, and why.

I (gasp) don't like chocolate.

Why do i Write?

Why do i Write?

I write because I have to—it’s my way of figuring things out. I used to write in a way I (erroneously) thought would be helpful, you can see what I mean by reading a few of these, but lately I’ve turned to writing stories that show what I want to say, rather than tell. It’s exciting! (And so much better. Trust me.)

Right now, as you read this, I'm writing about the STruggle to navigate the alien world of aging parents.

Wait, you too?

Because every time I tell people what I’m working on, they say “me too!” Not the part about having parents (I mean, that’s pretty universal, right?) but about the agony and frustration of trying to help and the rabbit hole of care giving.

Should You Follow Along?

Should You Follow Along?

If you like knowing you’re not alone and prefer to share the journey—good, bad, and ugly—this is your spot. If you wonder how you’ll survive the challenges of life, whether it’s divorce, or teenagers, or aging parents, but you’re looking to give it your best shot, this is definitely your spot.

If you’d rather not think about anything besides unicorns and rainbows, (I’ll be honest) this may not be your spot.

Then again, it might be your perfect spot.

Either way, if you decide to stay, I’d love to hear your voice. Don’t be shy.
